This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Day 2 at the Continuing Education Center
Going out the door the one of the ladies says  "see you on Monday"
Waving and smiling... Bob waves and smiles back.
Bob and "Al" get out the door and "Al" says  "I thought we were done,
how long is this suppose to go on?"
Sheri ignores the question..."boy the traffic was heavy today!"
Bob replies "yes it was".
Redirect Sheri, redirect.

  2. Hang in there, Sheri. Bob and Al will end up LOVING going to "school."

Once my mom made friends and had fun everyday, she now longs for the weekends to be OVER so that she can get back to "work."

I'm very excited for both you and Bob.

    Happy Easter!!!!!
