This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character"Al" that I created in 2008 represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob and "Al" are feeling poor
"Their" back and knee and so much more..

All "they" did was clean up the yard
Sheri made sure "they" did not work to hard

You can't do life, without moving around
You can't do life,  just laying down

There must be a balance of what "they" can do
Sheri just just needs to try harder,
so...back to push pins with glue?

  1. Try dancing and singing. My mom LOVES dancing, so did my Uncle Al. Singing is a very good activity because they can do it easily.

I sing and dance with my mom. I did the same with my Uncle.

I put Pandora radio on my computer and dial in Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. She believes Frank is my dad singing to her. She dances and sways, sits, stands and does it again. She dances with me and her care givers.

Try music, it really helped my mom and uncle.

You are doing a great job, Sheri. God bless you for all the love in your heart.
