This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is content today, a feeling that does not happen often
She took Bob and "Al" to church this morning at "their" request.
Sheri was worried about getting him to go back into the nursing home,
But surprisingly he went back just fine.
Next week starts a new adventure. Sheri thinks they will let him start going to Adult Day Care.
Sheri visited it last week. the lady there seemed very kind and caring, they even said they would try to  work with her hours.
Sheri told Bob and "Al" about it...Bob's response was "That will be just more incarceration"
Sheri took it in stride though, of course she does not have any other options right now does she...

  1. So glad you got to go to church. And All went well. I do hope he loves his new home. Good luck.
