This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri was happy that Bob was not angry when she saw him yesterday. He actually was quite excited
Somehow he overheard a nurse or therapist or someone say that he was not going to be there much longer. Of course he had is belongings packed and ready to go when Sheri got there. Sheri encouraged him to put is things away and the calender back up on the wall. She turned it to April for him, "Al' told Sheri she was wrong, and moved it back to February. As Sheri thought about that, she realized that for Bob and "Al" time probably is standing still...
