This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is trying hard to think with her head and not her heart
She really has never been very good at that.
Bob's 68th birthday is tomorrow and Sheri hates to see him
in the nursing home.
She took him out once but it confused him terribly...
Sheri does not want to make it worse for him, because of a need she has.
Think with your head, Sheri. Think with your head...
Sheri hates this disease.

  1. Think with your head Sheri. And let your heart cry for awhile. Take a cake- sing the song give him hugs and then go home and cry. It will do you good. Cry out to Jesus...

    I hate this disease too.
