This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob and "Al" are going into transitional care today
Just until they can complete the rehab on his back
Then they will decide if he needs the surgery
The injections he had appeared to have helped a little bit
but his pain when off the pain medicine is still in the 8or 9 range.
Sheri is just going to pray that Bob does not disappear while in this transition
She has told Bob what is happening, well at least as much as he can understand
and some of his friends from church
have been at this place...Sheri is thankful for that.
And Sheri is trying hard not to focus on how the day to day details will go for "Them"
"Will he remember where he is is, where I am, where his room is..."
As you can see Sheri is not doing a very good job.
Sheri is gonna have to "Trust in the Lord with all her heart"
