This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al :)

Well Sheri learned a lesson she already knew but ignored tonight
Sheri listened to Bob and "Al" tonight while stuck in traffic in St. Paul
Afterall he worked down there for many years....
While stuck Bob shouts loudly "take this street I know where it goes"
With not much time to decide what do at the light Sheri goes with it
"What did you remember about this street" she says AFTER she turns
(assuming that Bob had a memory of the back streets he used to take)
"West" Bob says "we need to go west, the sign said West blah blah.."
Ah..... well not all streets west head home, or so Sheri found out...
Note to self - buy a map.
