This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is feeling sorry for herself again
enough already she tells herself
Yes it is less than a week before Christmas
And yes things are not the best financially or
otherwise for that matter....
Yes she hates that she feel trapped in this very bad dream
it is as many caregivers say, a nightmare you can't wake from.
and even right now, this very moment
she is frustrated that she has to listen
to the noises Bob is making in his sleep
the ones that sound like he is in battle with Al
for control of his mind
And yet she knows in the middle of all of this,
this feeling of despair and loneliness
is only temporary, temporary because God
has a plan for her life, He promises that to her
So she has taken her moment to feel sorry for  herself
(she is buying some ear plugs) and she is moving on...
she has chosen to have faith in the plan.
