This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is grateful that daughter number 2
is home on break from college this month
Sheri needs to rethink her plan
in light of the coffee pot incident
She just feels so alone in these decisions
and she is afraid of the future , how will she ever
get Bob and "Al" to go to a day program?
"They"don't think anything is wrong with "them"
Sheri has heard of tricking them, telling Bob he is going
to be a helper there. She doesn't know if that will work
plus Bob is so limited by his physical condition
she does not know .....
Sheri is making excuses for not taking the next most logical step.
Sheri hates this disease.

  1. I told my Mom we were going to "craft class". She loves the day program in our town. You will learn to become a skillful liar. It is for the greater good.
