This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri was excited to see that
yesterday Bob was able to build
a box or two for her cards
he has roamed around the house for days
now with nothing to occupy his time.
She has a craft sale coming up
so she thought she would try the box thing again.
She doesn't really understand
what changes in"Al's" head from
day to day, he worked on them for about 8 hours
yesterday and built 2, 6 inch by 5 inch boxes....
Something Bob could have done in 30 minutes before "Al" came.
But either way she thankful for a small reprieve
of trying to find something new for "them" to do.
At least he is not cutting down trees in 60 mile an hour winds.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
