This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Well, Sheri has a new dilemma
A long time neighbor is dying of cancer
Bob knew her well and worked with her many years ago
Sheri and Bob went down the couple of houses
to see her while she was still in fair condition
Bob went down last week and she was only awake a few minutes
at a time.
Bob and "Al" went down yesterday and the family politely told
Bob that the neighbor was "No longer coherent"
Bob and Sheri talked about that they should not go back now,
and that the family needed time with her.
Sheri got home form work today, and Al told Sheri that he had gone
down to see "how Delores was doing today."... they would not let him in...
Not quite sure how to get this through to him.
