This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri took Bob and "Al"
to Target with her, to get an ankle support
for Sheri.
Bob passes an endcap filled with band aids
"Al" says "here Sheri, here they are" Bob hands Sheri
a box of band aids, Sheri says "no Bob that's not it"
Those are band aids...
Sheri finds what she is looking for and they
they head to the register
"Al" passes the same endcap and waves for
for Sheri to stop "Here they are Al says"
Sheri says "No Bob those are band aids"
"Oh" says Al " I thought you were looking for rubber bands."

Sheri thinks she must have missed something somewhere.
