Bob's got his stories all mixed up
His life a puzzle, in his own mind.
Memories that don't belong to Bob
Come out Al's mouth as if fact....
Bob himself, questions Al's words
From time to time
Sheri is not sure anymore
If she should guide the pieces back into place
or not...
And she is not sure if she can be the glue
that holds their life together
Because so many of the pieces
are lost..
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalm 63:1
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.
