This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al :)

Sheri thought they would try (another) something new
still trying to find something for Bob and Al to do...

She saw the stack of old record gathering dust
and thought "they" might like to sort them,
cleaning  them up is a must...

Well " they" started the project and just minutes in,
Sheri realized the job was not going to be easy for "them"

Bob would pick up a record and try to decide
what pile it should go in , to categorize

"They" had piles on the floor and piles on the trunk
"They" had piles on the couch and ....this was way to much....

Sheri felt like the record mountian was burying them alive
And if no one knew they were there, they would never survive!

Cause Bob would pick up one record
and set the record back down
Then Al would rediscover the record and....
(well..so the process went round)

So she gave "them" some postits (Al yellow, and Bob blue)
and Sheri slipped away to find...something else to do!   :)

Blessed are those who run in circles, for when they get to heaven
they will be known as big wheels
One of Bob's favorite quotes
