This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Since  Bob's passing in late May,  Sheri has found herself sitting in her apartment starring at.. well nothing.  She doesn't know what she suppose to do with her so called free time. It is like her brain still thinks the boys need her. She cant start projects because her brain still thinks the phone might ring. She can't participate in group commitments, she thinks she wants to but then she she just can't. She is not looking for sympathy, or advice, she knows this is just part of the grief process. She just wants others to know they are not alone, if they have been, or are where she is.

  1. I have been away from blogging. I'm sorry to hear about Bob. May you find peace and strength. If you need to talk - email me.
