This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Livng with Bob and "Al"

Well Sheri is not sure how they made it here but today is "Sir Cooper's" first birthday! She has not said much about Sir Cooper as of late because this blog is about Bob and "Al" but Sir Cooper had a very long ill first year and unfortunately things are still not great. He was diagnosed several months ago with  Syringomyelia. It is a serious disorder/ disease that is not curable. Sheri has chosen to just enjoy him as much as she can while keeping him pain free. Happy Birthday Sir Cooper!
One day at time is all any of us can do in this life. Live it well, by the grace of God.
