This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is feeling a bit overwhelmed. She is understanding now, the new challenges and changes from direct caregiver to advocate. Each of these stages brings its new feelings of anxiety and stress. Sheri does realize however, that she is fortunate to live in a country where there is a place "the boys" can live safely, and give Sheri the relief of not doing the physical caring for "Al". Sheri needs to pause, praise and pray.

  1. Why do you audit legitimate comments? I made one yesterday and it was not posted. It was not disrespectful in any way. I now, am going to pause and pray..........
