This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri can not think of a time she felt this numb. She has found a location for Bob and "Al" and she can not breathe. She feels like she is operating on auto pilot mode. In many ways she guesses she is. None of this is or ever was in her hands.  She was never a fan of flying and she feels like she is going to throw up, even with God at the controls. Trust does not come easily.

    My heart is breaking for you. I was surprised how much stress I was under before placing my Mom in a small caring facility. She is safe and content. Do you think he would want you to be under so much stress due to his declining condition? Prayers for you.

    Hang in there. Bob will be OK. There might be a period of adjustment for him but things will work out. He needs you to be strong and healthy to care for him. This is God's plan. Sending prayers your way.
