This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is not sure if others have ever felt this way, but she feels like everything is just senseless chatter. She is not talking about "Al" this time... she is talking about the world.
She turns on senseless T.V. shows with senseless themes,
and senseless advertising for senseless things.
Senseless products, doing senseless tasks
seeing senseless people wearing senseless masks.
Senseless music with senseless words, senseless dreams
creating a senseless world.

Maybe it is just the rhythm of her life, but the senseless chatter feels like a wasted life.

11. 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

  1. I too think so much is senseless, on a "human level". But if I take it to a spiritual level I accept that it's all in God's plan.
