This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is so very thankful for family and friends. The move could not have gone better. Bob came home to his big brown chair and his nuts, bolts and Daniel O' Donnell. Bob actually said "this room seems bigger today." And although she knows "Al" did not know why, Bob seemed content. Sheri thought to herself "Mission accomplished."
God is good, all the time.

  1. Oh, I'm so thankful to hear this! I haven't visited your blog lately. My mother died August 1 and we are busy getting a room ready here so Dad can come live with us. I've very excited. (Mother had Alzheimer's.) Today I visited a friend whose husband is in early-mid stage. I thought of you immediately and came home and looked you up.
