This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Well yesterday was the day! Sheri went to the Arboretum  for her photography class courtesy of the Kathi Koll Foundation through nomination of The Caregivers Voice. It was 90 plus degrees outside and so humid you could hardly breathe, and even with the threats of tornados, but Sheri put on her big girl pants and what a wonderful experience. The breathtaking humidity was nothing compared to the beauty of this majestic bird!   There are three short clips and then the results! ( and yes this is what I look like when I go to take pictures lol! Don't tell any one :)

What a huge blessing! Thank you daughter number one for caring for Bob and "Al"!
