This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri shares these snippets of her life, to bring awareness to what Alzheimer's looks like up close and personal. She uses humor to make this disease palatable. Sheri is not looking for pity, she knows this part of God's plan for her life, but she does hope the devastation that Alzheimer's brings to all families coping with the disease can be seen in the reflection of her tears of laughter.

    I think you do such a great job showing the day-to-day challenge of facing Alzheimer's, the things people don't even realize they'll need to deal with over the long haul.     My mother lives with Alzheimers, and your blog has helped my sister and I find the laughter and meaning behind this horrible illness. I have forwarded your blog to my dad in hopes that he can find something to relate to and who can understand some of the struggles he is facing with my mom. God bless you.
