This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri took Bob and "Al" to the Minnesota Arboretum yesterday. The temperature was in the twenties  making it a little bit more bearable. Through the lens of the camera Sheri can block out all of the stress of this Alzheimer world she live in. Well one eye through the lens... the other on Bob and "Al".  :)

  1. You are an inspiration. I am just starting down your journey and I only hope I face it with the love and compassion that you show Bob. My husband is 76 and has memory loss that began about 4 years ago, maybe longer. It is progressing slowly but surely. He is on aricept so we are hoping for even slower progression. I realize that each day is as good as it will ever be but that is a depressing way to look at life and I need to stop. Anyhow I just wanted you to know how much I value your daily posts. God bless you.
