This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri uses humor to share about her life with Bob and "Al" because that way, the tears of despair are hidden in the tears of laughter, and no one will know she is crying.

  1. I feel I've been losing a lot of my sense of humor as things with "Al" digress. I just found your blog and already, as my husband lays on the bed with me fully clothed because Al would not change into bedclothes tonight (a first), I see that your perspective helps me reconnect with my own sense of humor more again. Thank you so very much for sharing yours, and other thoughts, musings, etc! I look forward to "following" you.
