This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri definitely notices she is short on patience since she broke her foot and can not put any weight on it. Pushing around a cart with her knee up on it in this tiny house she rented has brought much frustration. It has also has brought to light for Sheri , just how much "Al" can not do for himself. Sheri finds herself getting up and down more than she would care to, to tend to "them". Her only hope is that the additional effort all of this takes... might burn a few extra calories when all is said and done. :)
