This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

On a trip to Walmart this weekend, it apparently was not enough for "Al" to see where the other men were coming and going from. Sheri found herself standing outside the men's restroom yelling "Bob,  follow my voice"  Sheri hates public restrooms  :)

  1. Sheri, I would suggest taking Bob into the disabled toilets. They normally are unisex, plus if you need to help them in the toilet, there's a lot more room. My Mum can't normally manage the toilet herself, and if I don't go and wipe her, it can get EVERYWHERE! (yuck)
