This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is so blessed to have had her daughters here for the holidays. Daughter Number 1, the one who wears her heart on her sleeve and Daughter Number 2 the one who shields her heart with her sleeve, have grown into such wonderful young women. They do their best to support Sheri, and they see her daily struggles. They have learned to accept "Al" for who he is and still love him as their Dad.
Sheri loves them so very much.

  1. Yes Sherri when we have gratitude for what we have and don't dwell on what we don't we can appreciate our beautiful children. And your daughters are absolutely exquisite! Love you! Maureen
