This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri loves to get up early, while Bob and "Al" are still sleeping and go outside with her camera to discover the beauty of nature. Sometimes Sheri finds something that really moves her. She looked at this plant this morning, and it moved her deeply. In it she saw all the coarse twists and turns of life, the darkness and the shadows, but she also saw the sunlight, and the beautiful gentle curves in the beauty of life. The beauty in God's art work of nature is the perspective Sheri needs to stay grounded.

  1. Thats a beautiful capture Sheri. I have been doing the same thing. Yesterday I went to the garden and spotted a teeny tiny little Chili pepper that was just a bloom a few days ago. I love the way the early morning sun brings the garden alive. And I need that little bit of peace before the day starts.
