This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

The information Sheri had been given in the past about the condition of Bob's back turned out to be true. It is beyond repair.Their next option is a 12 hour patch that would release a Novocain type product directly where his pain is... but it is being disputed by his insurance and is $300 for a months supply.Sheri will try to figure out how to be at work today and on the phone with his insurance and doctor. Sheri is frustrated and Bob and "Al" are still in pain.
