This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is depressed about living with Bob and "Al" but the reality is that everyone is "living in the shadow" of something. Maybe it is dementia maybe cancer, depression, and eating disorder, alcoholism, loss of a loved one, any disease or mental illness. Life is a journey through which we can not travel alone. The true Body of Christ is a community that stands by all who are hurting, walks with all who are hurting, and carries all who are hurting, regardless of who they are. If we are not that... we are hypocrites.
Sheri will make it point to do something for someone else today.
