This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is going back on the web and ordering Bob more Alzheimer puzzles from Springbok. He loves them and it takes him several hours to do a 36 piece puzzle which buys Sheri some time to get chores done! Maybe Springbok can make some with pictures of tools on them, just for Bob and "Al". LOL. But these definitely get Bob's "Not so handy man" seal of approval.

  1. That's really awesome that she buys him puzzles. I've always heard, they help slow the progression of Alzheimer's. Thats what my uncle uses to help himself from going down the horrible path to fast.
