This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri went get some ice for her thumb this morning, Sheri was surprised to see Bob's comb in the freezer. "Al" must of got confused last night when Sheri mumbled to herself that wished she could leave her thumb in the freezer.Gotta love him.  :)

  1. My husband ( EOAD at 56; 58 now) has made it his self-appointed job to empty the dishwasher, which means I find things in strange places, too ! It always makes me laugh. I look forward every morning to your post to see what "Al" has said or done. Please be assured I am not laughing AT your situation, but it is so important to keep a sense of humor and I admire yours.
