This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri tried to let Bob help her clean up the leaves while they are dry and easier to move, before the predicted rain for tonight. She let him use the lawn mower with the bagger to do it. It was a very slow process because "Al" would make one pass on the lawn, and stop to empty the bag, even though he had just emptied it. Which in the big picture would have been fine, except all that extra unnecessary bending and lifting and left him to sore to get out of bed this morning ( heavy sigh)
