Oy vey :)
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al'
Last evening Bob and "Al" were sitting in the living room with Sheri. Out of no where Bob says to Sheri with a sense of urgency "something is wrong with my hands!" Sheri looks up from the book she was reading to see Bob rubbing the top of his hand. Sheri,( fearful that he was having the numbing sensation he had a couple of weeks ago) jumps up and goes over to him. Bob is still looking some what distressed. Sheri says "What is wrong do your hands feel funny again? " "Al" replies with concern in his voice "yes look how the skin is all loose and thin on top."
