This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri struggles each day to keep all the balls up in the air, but each day after taking a deep breath, she remembers everything God has carried her through in the last year, and she knows her life and this journey in  the Alzheimer world has a purpose. She will take refuge in the arms of the Lord.

Psa 71:1  In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed.

  1. This would have been so very helpful, the past few years Sheri. My Father and Mother in Law, whom I cared for. Very exhausting but would NOT have changed a thing! it is a priceless gift to give of yourself, to be there in the middle of the night, when It's time to "Catch the trolley home" or have "A yard Sale" at 2am..Thankyou so much for this blog..there is healing power in this. our Lord is with you everyday! Many blessings to you Sheri!
