This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Driving home from "work" last night Bob says to Sheri "I heard they said that gas is going up in price again." Sheri replied "Oh I had not heard that." "Al" out of nowhere, shouts "Look $5.35 a gallon! I told you!" Sheri (still shaking from the jolt of the shout out she is not at all accustom to) glances up to see what Bob is looking at and mumbles to herself with a heavy sigh, " Oh Bob... that my dear man, is the time." :)

  1. He may not be far off, bless his heart...I hear that we might (here in CA) be headed for $5/gallon! You are in my prayers...Janice in San Diego
