This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri and Bob attend bible study every other Monday night. Sheri reads the chapter to Bob (reading is not his thing) last night when Sheri mentioned the bible study coming up Bob said " Well, we better start reading, what was it about last time?" Sheri stammered for a minute and then explained the first chapter in very quick over view. Then "Bob" said "well I don't remember any of that, so you are going to have to start over again." Sheri stared blankly at him.(That was not a thought that appealed to her) Then "Al" said (with a very serious face) "Well if you don't then how will I remember what I already forgot?"  :)
