This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

The other day Sheri took Bob and "Al" to Walmart. In her never ending quest for something for "them" to do, she thought maybe they could try doing a puzzle again. Bob was excited because there were two puzzles of birds. It was perfect, one was a hummingbird and the other a cardinal. (Birds they had been seeing in the garden daily). On the way home "Al" says to Sheri "We should put them together, put that glue on them and hang them in the garden so the other birds will come, it will be perfect!"  :)
