This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Each season Sheri and Bob put up a garland (so to speak) around the windows to match the season.(Sheri is into the season's, it is one of the things she will truly miss about the frozen tundra) So they would put up a decorative string of Daisy's, in the summer, fall leaves in the fall, that kind of thing. Bob would always label the garland when we took it down to know which window it went over.Sheri found this while packing yesterday, not sure what "Al" had in mind here... the bag does contain a Christmas Basket but a Christmas Basket probably won't  hang well over the window.  :)
That is how fast "Al" loses track of what he is doing.
