In Sheri's ongoing effort to keep Bob busy, She asked Bob to clean the cat box. He cleaned it as requested and brought out the dirty liter in in a plastic bag as usual. Then Bob decided the bag was too heavy and put in an old box. Then he decided it needed string around it because it was an awkward size box to carry. Bob went to the garage to find some string. He came back and started to burn the end of the twine he found the way you do when you want to make sure it won't unravel. "Bob" Sheri said "what are you doing? " "Al" responded " making sure the end won't fray" "but Bob you are just using it to wrap around the dirty cat litter that you are throwing away" Sheri said quizzically. "Al " responded with "yes... and we need it to hold until we get to Texas! "
LOL :)
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Sherry, All those little moments that bring a smile to your face will be remembered for many many years.
ReplyDeleteMy mom's been gone for 4 years and I'm forever repeating something she said. Sweet memories.
Best,
Sandy
