This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is realizing that even the few things Bob could before, "Al" can not do any more
Bob has always done the wash, an OCD thing, his Mom did it too... constant, constant wash
Today when Bob was looking for something to do, Sheri mentioned there was some wash in the washing machine that just needed to be hung on hangers to dry.
Bob was excited to do some something useful and off he went hobbling and whistling. She heard him go down the stairs to the laundry room,  feeling good that she had found something that would occupy "them" for a while Sheri went about paying bills and other things.
This evening Sheri went down to get her nightgown, only to find that machine was still full of wet clothes.
Sheri thinks she might need to start checking "Al's" work, if she wants clean and DRY clothes for work!
