This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri wishes "Al" understood more about what is happening in their families life.
This morning Sheri starts the week long process of preparing for a whole body scan on Friday
To find out if there are any cancer cells left in her body, it involves injections, a trip to the doctor, or the hospital every day this week, drinking radioactive iodine, isolation,  the typical thyroid cancer scan preparation.
Between all the financial things going on, losing her home, having used up almost all of her paid time off to take care of Bob and "Al" and making major life change decisions , Sheri could use a hug.
But Bob and "Al", are focused on trying to figure out why "their" cell phone won't work...
