This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri thinks she would rather drive the 45- 60  minute trip
to work alone
than drive the 45-60 minute trip with Bob and "Al"
and still feel alone...
Sheri hates the no conversation thing.

  1. It is awful to feel alone when you are with someone you love. Prayers for you and the rest of us who find ourselves in this situation. Prayers that God will find a way to remind us we are not alone-even when we are so very lonely...

  2. It's so hard to have to explain everything you say because they aren't following along. If I mention something we just saw on the news, he has no idea what I'm talking about. Same if we are driving down the street. I miss that silly little conversation.
