This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri thinks that having Bob with her everyday..all day is so very bitter sweet
It has revealed to her just how much memory loss Bob really has.
and yet Bob and "Al" are happier then they have been in a long time
"They"  whistle non stop, the whistle that was driving Sheri crazy at home
The residents seem to really like hearing it, as they go down hall
they will stop and visit with him, and tell him what a great job he is doing.
Paint brush and cane in hand.
he is sore everyday, but he was sore anyway.
Now if she could just get him to  pay attention to what color the wall is that he is touching up :)
