This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri is trying to see the blessing in all of this
Sheri took Bob to work with her for the first time
Sher kept Bob and "Al' busy all day...
Bob with all of his experience, was able to do touch up painting
for Sheri in the party room on the new property she is managing
he spent all day tinkering with the brush and paint can as usual
in his always meticulous way, he did a great job.
Sheri encouraged him to take breaks
when his knee or back hurt.
He was very, very, excited to have something to do
and the residents loved that it was being done.
he felt useful and needed.
blessing found.
