This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al :)

With Bob's bad shoulder
he is not suppose to put his arm
above his head
because it hurts when he does that
(But Al forgets that it is gonna hurt)
So Sheri and Bob are laying in bed
Sheri sees Bob move his arm over his head
as he grimaces in pain
Sheri leans over to Bob and says
in a very frustrated voice
"Bob,  now where is your arm suppose to be?"
"Al"looks at Sheri quizzically and says
"I have no idea"
This is gonna be a very long healing process...
and they have even had treatment yet.
