This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Bob and "Al" had the battle
of the phone line... again
Sheri spent quite a while
this evening trying to get the internet
to work...
Then the phone rings, but Sheri realizes
the phone closest to the computer is not ringing
so she answers it in the bedroom
When she was done on the phone
she goes back to the family room
she checks the phone by the computer
the line is dead.
In a fleeting moment she remembers
Bob mumbling about the kitten playing
with a wire...which "Al" promptly
disconnected and wrapped up neatly
and tied it in a knot and placed it behind the baseboard
Sheri had to follow the wire on her hands and knees
to the bulge in the baseboard to find it.
Okay, maybe Sheri had the battle of the phone line again  :)
