This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri distracts herself in many ways
from the pain she feels, each and every day
She goes to work, she does her crafts
She watches Bob, takes care of Al.

She goes to church,
She makes her cards
She takes her pictures
She praises God.

She sorts the bills
She pulls the weeds
She talks about God
She plants the seeds

She distracts herself
she talks on the phone
She writes her blog
Yet she still  feels... alone.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
