This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri thinks this is a very strange disease
Bob told Sheri when she came home from
work today, that since yesterday
his foot has been really hurting
He said it was his toes.
Sheri good wife that she is, inspects
Bob's foot...
No obvious problem with his toes
Sheri asks "what shoes were you wearing?"
Al shows Sheri his shoes, his normal pair
She turns the shoe over to look a the sole
and low and behold
A cat toy falls out of the shoe...
"Al" walked around
for 2 days with his toes squished up in there
and never thought to check the shoe....
Sheri wonders how can this disease cause
such lack of judgment..
Sheri hates this disease.

1 Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
