This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Maybe...Sheri just needs to focus
on the love from God....

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17).

  1. Good Morning Sherri,

I know we don't know each other but I want to tell you how I am thankful for your blog. I found you through Had a Dad Alzheimers blog and I have been blessed to read through some of your post's about your life as caregiver for your husband. Your posts are very real, with your heart exposed and I appreciate how in the midst of it all you come back to resting in your Heavenly Father. I along with my husband and 5 children are caregiver's for my grandparents in our home. My Papa is in a wheelchair and my Gigi is in the later stage of Alzheimers. I can understand your heavy heart at times and the struggles this caregiving brings. I just want to encourage you in the JOY of the Lord.

Nehemiah 8:10b...The Joy of the Lord is your Strength.
1 Peter 5:7...casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

    Blessings to you,

    Chessa
